Been obsessing with blogshops these days.

But I do realised that even though the pricing are not expensive..say RM30 for a shirt, plus some Pos Express/Pos Laju fees of RM4-6.. Turns out to be paying about RM40 for convenience- just have to wait at home for a day or two to get the dress.

Of course, with convenience in hand, there will be the setbacks as well. So let me list it down.

  • Uncertain whether the size is suitable for us or not. Yeah, most of the time blogshops claimed that it is stretchable and fits size ranges from S-XL, but how sure could you be? There was once I bought this dress from a particular online shop, they took pictures from Taiwan blogs and pasted to their websites. The picture taken was absolutely gorgeous, and it seems like a great bargain as it is only sold for RM30- little did I know, it was so freaking small up to the point where only a 10 year old could wear that freaking dress. HMMPH.
  • Chances of getting conned is pretty high, as you got to bank in the money to the dealer only then they will send you the clothes. So what if you got conned? Could you report to the police? Hmm.. not sure about that though. So far so good for me.
  • The pictures can deceive our eyes. Yes, due to the lighting and their photoshop effects, who knows that they made the dress looks so much more appealing than it is in reality? And the dress may look good on the model, but mm.. to yourself? Maybe not.
  • One thing I've actually noticed today was the pricing. Yes, even though it is reasonable. There was once I saw the similar dress in The Summit selling for RM35 and the blog shop is selling for RM51 ++. So what the heck? And it looks expensive from the picture. I bought my dress for RM30 and XXX is selling for RM59.90. Double the freaking price... and having a blog shop does not even cost you a cent and they're selling for almost double the price in a boutique. WEird.
With that in mind, I've always refrain myself from buying even though I love to see what they have. Online window shopping perhaps? BUT, there is always an exception. Some blogs actually order direct from the supplier which makes, what you see is really, what you get. The setbacks for this type of order is that.. it is quite pricey as we need to deal with the shipping costs and the handling charges.

So... Still wanna buy online clothes from blog shops?

Maybe not. But then again, if they do have something very unique and appealing, there would be always an exception. again. x)
