Special thanks to Chriz for asking me to join the dance concert... not because of her I will not participate, and memories, new friends and such fun are not there to be cherished.
More pics on facebook. I didn't take much from my phone.
And so Saturday (4.12.10) was a memorable day.
It was my dance school concert. Stepz that is. Both Klang and Kota Kemuning branch joined together to perform in this very day.
I was under the hip hop category. Haha. I performed for 3 minutes plus. Surprisingly I wasn't panic or nervous. I was like, please la, let me get on and done with. Weird, but I guess God gave me good strength and inner peace - I felt so relaxed and calm all at once, eventhough I was seconds away from performing in front of the whole crowd, and I can expect myself to perform in front of 100+ pax , and thank goodness my parents were not there to watch me hahaha....if not I'll be like, sheesh, I'm sure later they'll comment on my dancing skills.
Overall, I hoped it went well, since I couldn't see myself dancing nor knew that what I did was wrong or something. (Was in front so I couldn't see my other teammates). At that moment when the light shines on me, I felt like I was born to do this. I wasn't nervous at all when I realised that I was performing in front of so many people, after all, I am trained to present, speak, and now dance, in front of the whole crowd.
Nevertheless, it was such a wonderful experience, everyone out there are so cheerful, helpful and treats me as one of their 'families'. We helped each other to make up and to dress up. It certainly makes my day knowing that we all have one thing in common, and that is the passion of dancing.
Dance is a way to express your feelings, just like songs do. I couldn't express how much I loved dancing, kinda regretting not pursuing my hobby to dance in secondary school. But that doesn't stop me from dancing, as age is not a factor to destroy your dreams. I may not be the best, the good, or the worst, but I just dance for my passion, my love for expressing my inner self, and to enjoy what I'm doing.
I really hoped that people will enjoy the dance as much as I love dancing. (Haha, though there are moments that I felt so bored at the changing room before the dance, but it was all worth when you have such experience to cherish)
Special thanks to my teammates, dad for fetching me to n fro all the way, friends that I have made on the day itself.
Thanks for the people who wished me good luck. It helps.
And the story ends like this...period.
